Our story begins with our Medical Director, Consultant Pediatrician Dr Wai Ko Ni, embarking on her journey towards a life in helping children, when she decided to pursue Child Specialist training in the USA. After she received her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario Canada, she then completed her pediatrics training in the University of Connecticut USA, and obtained board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics. She then decided that she would best serve her purpose by helping the children in her home country, Malaysia. 

 

Dr Wai became a lecturer in Paediatrics at a prestigious private medical school, and concurrently served in a government hospital in Seremban. Thereafter, she was the Resident Paediatrician in a private Paediatrics clinic in Bandar Utama.

With more than 10 years of experience, plus over 10,000 patients under her care, and wanting to challenge herself further, and to provide healthcare access to more children,

Dr Wai decided to start her own Paediatrics clinic in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. 

 

That is how Bright Star Baby & Child Clinic was born. 

 

In Bright Star Baby & Child Clinic, our mission is to provide the best healthcare to children of all ages, within a beautifully designed, child friendly Pediatric Clinic in Bangsar KL. We believe that in treating children, we must also first build rapport with the patient and with his or her caretakers. That is why good communication is of utmost importance to us. We listen, because we care. In our clinic, we also monitor our patients carefully, and will follow up on their medical conditions closely.
